Structured Finance Counsel - Global Solar Energy Developer

An opportunity has arisen at a global leader in solar development as the company continues its rapid phase of globalisation. Having recently announced a $1.8bn new credit facility that will act as a springboard for its ambition of developing 25GW of solar projects by 2025 across the world, they are looking to bring in a talented finance lawyer to support the structured finance team in delivering funding solutions at project and corporate levels, in support of their continued global expansion and rapid progress towards decarbonisation.

This newly created position will report to the Senior Structured Finance Counsel, assisting in structuring and negotiating new facilities (corporate, project finance and LC's) as well as managing existing facilities to ensure compliance with the terms. You will be responsible communicating with deal teams, managing external counsel and coordinating lender satisfaction, execution and closing. With recent new partnerships with 10 global banks and a continually increasing appetite for lenders to support the renewable energy industry, this is an exciting time to join the team.

Ideally you will be 2-6 PQE with strong post-qualification experience either in a top law firm and/or as an in-house counsel at an asset manager/bank or competitor energy developer, with structured corporate or project finance experience. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, confident in providing prompt and commercially focused advice in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
