Newly created position for a part-time Legal Counsel to join an expanding tech start-up. This company has a growing legal team and are innovating cyber security within the technology industry. They operate in both the government and commercial space and work with clients across a huge array of sectors including banking, insurance, media, telco, law and government.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will a provide a broad range of commercial legal support to the company and its group companies. The role will primarily focus on supporting the sales team on B2B customer contracts, as well as providing support to the other functions of the company on a variety of legal matters. You will also support on privacy and data protection matters and assist in implementing security regulations. You will draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts (UK, US, and International), T&C's and other legal documents with a focus on agreements relating to equipment and component supply, hardware sales, software licensing and cloud services.
You must have strong in-house experience with a focus on tech or commercial transactions. It would be useful to have prior experience with SaaS agreements, software licensing agreements and data privacy, although this is not essential.
