A leading organisation is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel in London on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation where you can make a valuable contribution to the successful functioning of the legal team.

You will be a Legal Counsel with contract negotiation experience and have a strong commercial background. You will work closely with all areas of the business and take a consultative and collaborative approach to solving complex legal, regulatory and business issues.

Duties will include:

  • You will draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customised customer contracts, strategic partnerships, complex business deals and third party supplier contracts
  • You will help put in place and improve existing processes, including developing and maintain standard agreements (such as NDAs, supplier agreements and customer agreements)
  • You will advise on complex commercial arrangements and provide clear advice on legal and commercial issues and risks
  • You will work across the business and be prepared to deal with any legal issue that might arise

You will be a UK qualified Lawyer (or Commonwealth equivalent) with at least 2 years PQE and previous In-house experience Is desirable. Excellent time management skills and experience working In a busy environment Is essential. It is essential to be able to demonstrate a pragmatic solutions-based counsel and strong relationship building skills combined with excellent communication skills. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, acting with a degree of independence whilst being part of a supportive and collegiate culture. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple areas of responsibilities with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent critical judgement with a hands-on approach. This is a great opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across multiple jurisdictions and play a key role in supporting the company's rapid growth.
