Global advertising and media agency requires a commercial lawyer to work in the EMEA HQ in the West End, for a 12 month contract, covering maternity leave.
Working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel, the role will involve providing legal support to all areas of the business including:
Providing legal and commercial advice, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including international client contracts, supplier agreements and software licences
Advising on employment issues and drafting employment and compromise agreements.
Providing guidance on IP issues.
Liaising with local and international external counsel as required.
Dealing with routine day-to-day legal matters and assisting media agency account directors on ad hoc client issues.
You must have a solid legal training background gained at a reputable firm, with either in-house or private practice. Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail are essential, as good inter-personal skills and the ability to forge good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will require the confidence, diplomacy and knowledge to advise senior management on a range of legal matters as well as dealing directly with legal/procurement counterparts at clients and suppliers.
