Our client is a global logistics and supply chain multinational and Singapore is a key hub for their APAC operations. They have regional operations in key markets across Asia Pacific, with exciting plans to increase their footprint in the region which include business acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships. They are searching for a commercially focused and motivated individual to join them as General Counsel.
You will manage a small team and be a legal and business advisor to the executive leadership team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal advice on commercial legal, regulatory and compliance matters as they arise. Additionally, you will oversee and lead the group's corporate and M&A activities, this includes acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. The ability to build relationships and trust with key stakeholders is critical in this highly visible role.
Ideally you are a common-law qualified lawyer with at least 10-15 years' experience, having worked at a top tier law firm and preferably in a senior in-house role where you've gained relevant experience within the logistics, supply chain and/or related industries.
